Style 1 Media Menswear brand Manuel Racim (MR) opens its first New York City location at 44 Hudson Street, Tribeca, on June 8, 2013, providing custom made-to-measure shirts through a process that brings a 1920’s Parisian tailoring tradition into the 21st Century. Co-Founders Manuel Guardiola and Racim Allouani (shown left) have found a way to integrate state of the art technology with personal attention and exceptional workmanship. Customers participate in every aspect of the design process from beginning to end. At the store, you meet with a personal style advisor and are able to select from about 200 fabric samples displayed on rotating panels. Tailoring options include 20 collar choices, 15 button choices, and custom cufflinks and ties, affording a bounty of combinations.

Customers complete the process through a digital touch-screen portal at the store or on the Manuel Racim website, where you can select options and interactively create your final product. The shirts are handcrafted in Western France by a traditional atelier emphasizing detail, quality, fit, and design. Customers receive the finished product within two weeks and ordering specifications are stored in the database for future use. Shirts range from $125 to $295 in price.
